A Bedtime Story App
Nighty Night! HD is a simple but elegant bedtime app for toddlers. It shows a farm at nighttime where the animals are still awake. With your kids' help, each animal will settle down and fall asleep.
How to Play
Toddlers find each animal by touching a window with a glowing light. They then tap the animal to hear its sound and help it to settle down by finding and then turning off the light switch. The app comes with seven animals (dog, pig, sheep, duck, cow, fish and chicken), and additional animals can be purchased for $.99 for a set of three.
Created by Oscar-nominated animator Heidi Wittlinger, this lovely book puts kids in charge of settling down the farm animals for the night. When you turn off the light at each location, the animal goes to sleep (and can't be awakened, a good lesson for young kids at this age). Actor Alistair Findlay's melodious voice offers a perfect narration to this simple but charming story. Meant for pre-readers, there are no words, but you feel as if you are playing inside of a beautifully animated movie. Kids will be delighted as they see new things happen when they repeatedly touch an interactive spot.
We like the option to decide how many animals need to be put to bed. This way, parents are in control of the length of this bedtime story.
Toddlers and preschoolers will love to snuggle up with you to put their favorite animal friends to bed before retiring themselves. By helping the animals wind down and go to sleep, kids also learn that settling in is part of their bedtime ritual. This app helps to make going to bed a breeze.
