In the "Dragon Tales" television show, each episode starts with children Max and Emmy swirling into Dragon Land by rubbing a magical dragon scale, and this software begins the same way.
How to Play
Once in Dragon Land, Max and Emmy discover it is Festival Day and immediately offer to help in the preparations. The dragons ask the players to help as well. For the Festival to occur, players need to make a cloud, plant flowers, and compose some music.
To build a cloud, the player joins dragons Ord and Cassie in making a jar of color, finding moonlight, and locating a special cloud ingredient. To plant flowers, kids search with Max and Emmy for seeds and then experiment with planting conditions in order to grow the perfect flowers. Composing music is an adventure with the two-headed dragon named Zak and Wheezie. Players must first find musical instruments in four different locations and then combine the music to create a composition.
All these activities encourage children to experiment. To make their jar of color, players combine primary colors. To find the perfect flowers, kids experiment with different soil, water, and sunlight combinations.
?Dragon Tales: Dragon Land Festival? is noteworthy because it?s more open-ended than most traditional preschool software. The software suffers a little from confusing navigation so parents might need to sit with little ones to help them move around this refreshing environment.
