Kids join the ACME Agency, a highly skilled detective organization, and work with top agents Shadow Hawkins and Jules Argent to track thief Carmen Sandiego. Carmen’s sticky fingers create eight different missions.
Hot on Carmen’s trail, players travel to four to six countries in each mission. Rich graphics depict the native landscape of each country. By listening carefully, using a database on more than 50 countries, and employing high-tech gadgets, kids will solve puzzles and find clues to complete the missions. They will also meet native peoples, view cultural artifacts, and hear numerous educational facts about each country.
One new aspect of this software allows players to uncover the story of Carmen’s life. As they start to understand Carmen’s past, they see that it is interconnected with the current heists. This personal storyline adds depth to the software because Carmen becomes a person not just a thief.
This new version of Carmen is five star fun! The mysteries motivate children to explore the jam-packed learning environment. The going can get tough, so gumshoes need to be resourceful and meticulous in their searching for clues. The only complaint we had from testers was that the software was so great, that they were sorry to see it end.
