While traveling in Nova Scotia, the Great Dane, Scooby Doo, and his cartoon friends, happen upon a mystery in an old castle involving the kidnapping of an actress and appearances of a phantom knight and a fire-breathing dragon. Players join Scooby and his friends in solving the mysteries of this castle.
How to Play
To win, players must explore over 25 interactive areas in and around the castle, talk to characters, collect clues and other objects, and solve problems. Some of the problems that need solving include helping a waitress balance trays of dishes or navigating through a complicated maze.
Playing this mystery will expose children to seven different thinking activities and two arcade games. The mystery has just the right amount of spookiness, and the language and humor are true to the cartoon show. Cleverly, the clues and perpetrator of the mystery change each time you play; and there are three levels of difficulty thus providing good replayability.
The puzzles embedded in this mystery are not that formidable, but finding them can be. Part of the fun is that this mystery requires children to be careful detectives. While the box targets children as young as five, the program plays best with children ages 7-10.
